Zoom Experience 2009
filed in Photography on Nov.22, 2009
It was my first time at the Zoom Experience 2009 event last month (the only camera event for photog’s in Holland )
Sadly the event was overloaded with the mass due to the exhibition owner giving away thousands of free tickets.

Fellow shutterbugs were rather rude and unfriendly: I got hit by telelens/hoods numerous times. Like at the catwalk, people were pushy and would do anything to take their shot >_> Many people trashed the event because of these annoying photog’s and due to high expectations. Which is sorta stupid IMO, it’s just like a hyped movie. You made the mistake watching the preview showing all the highlights. You don’t need to watch the movie at anymore. Hype definitely kills. Many were hoping to pick up bargains: sadly for them the prices weren’t that much better if not the same, comparable to webshops.
Personally I went with no expectations, even though the event was really crowded, I have to admit I felt comfortable somehow. I really enjoyed myself and had a great time shooting the catwalk and random models.
