Taken this tuesday with my new Canon 70-200 L F4 IS lens
In the winter months it’s hard to catch the full moon due to the weather – but was lucky this month ^^
Just took this from my balcony, handshot – too lazy to bring out the tripod. I love the VC on my Tamron lens. Could never take this without stabilizer.Â
Man, I used to hate that Mark Morrison song: return of the mack! Â but now I smile when I hear it, remembering good times. This song dates back to 1996! o_O
According to my lunar calendar it was full moon yesteryday,
but I missed it! (I was totally exhausted and fell asleep at 9pm – that must be a record of somesort!)
I did wake up at 6am though. So I was somewhat upset because full moon is only once a month,
and then you need to be lucky with the weather.
Photo taken Sunday around 4am: (around an hour ago)

Now you may wonder why I’m awake at 4am? Well I just came back from a pokernight.
We usually play every 2 weeks, I haven’t played in months and since I’m going on trip next week I thought I’d stop by.Â
Anyway, hopefully I’ll be able to shoot the moon on the other side of the globe next month :)

It’s that time of the month again, still haven’t taken the perfect moonshot yet.
But this is definitely the best I’ve taken so far, with my new Tamron 18-270 superzoomlens.
Sadly I haven’t had time to take this baby outside on a sunny day, so far I’m really
enjoying the reach and the VC (Tamrons Stabilizer). But then they say it’s never enough:Â I would love to get my hands on a telescope someday. Or at least a converter + 400mm :)

Full moon shot taken yesterday, turned out ok-ish, but not tack sharp.
This the best I can do for without tripod. I’ll be saving up for lens with a better
reach. I now pretty much decided to get a superzoom, mainly because I’m going
on trip to HK soon. Why? because I won’t have to change lenses all the time.
